History: |
Senna was first used medicinally by Arabian Physician as far back as the 9th century A.D. It has long found use in traditional Arabic and European medicine as well, primarily as a cathartic. The leaves have been brewed and the tea administered for it strong laxative effect. |

Habitat: |
Senna is a small perennial under shrub, a native of Yemen, South Arabia. But under cultivation in India last many centuries; mainly in Rajasthan and few parts of Gujarat and South India. |

Senna is cultivated in thousands of acres in Western Rajasthan. Cultivator Natural Products is the only largest Organic Certified Senna Producer Company. We are having the total area for senna cultivation is about 1,000 hectares (2,500 acres). The total area is organic certified by ECOCERT International, Germany according to the rules and regulations of USDA NOP, EEC 2092/91, JAS, BIO-SWISS and NPOP. Our Senna production is about 5500 M.T. |
